Max has directed major productions in London at The Donmar Warehouse, The Old Vic, The Globe and English National Opera, as well as on Broadway, and across Europe and Asia. He has been nominated for both a Tony and Olivier award for Best Director.

Upcoming work in 2024 includes Macbeth at the Harold Pinter and The Importance of Being Earnest at the National Theatre.

LIFE OF PI

Life Of Pi, Sheffield Crucible, 2019

Max’s production of LIFE OF PI won five Olivier awards in the West End and three Tonys on Broadway. It is currently on tour in the UK. US tour starts in Autumn 2024.
